Four Prompts inspired by for ‘Special’ days in May.
National Share a Story Month
International Dawn Chorus Day is on 7th May where ‘nature’s great symphony’ is celebrated. How about researching about the birds you hear in your area and spend time sketching/painting/make a Collage of them.

Here in the UK, it is National National Share a Story Month Month. Check out the Federation of Children’s Books Group (FSBG) site for ideas, book recommendations and even competitions. Drawing books are a great way to practice representing perspective on paper.

British Sandwich Week is the third week in May. What are your favourite Sandwich fillings? Cheese? Tomatoes? Pickle? All three? Favourite Bread? I personally love drawing food!
Finally, it’s National Doughnut Week on 20th – 28th May. Click here for information about this week which aims to raise money for The Children’s Trust. What are your favourite types of doughnuts? Ones with filling or topping? I must say the best doughnut I have ever tasted was a Sourdough Doughnut made by an amazing bakery in Malaysia.

I hope these Drawing Prompts inpsire you &/or your child to get creative but most important of all to have fun! If you do do them, do share them with me either via email or tag @homeedcreatives if you decide to post them on Social Media.
Happy Creating!
